Calculate my camels →How the camel score is calculated
An AI vision model studies your photo and rates three things in camels: your looks, your personal style and your clothing. It also detects whether you read as a man or a woman, which it uses to weight the gender-dependent parts of the score, so there is no gender question to answer.
A short questionnaire then adds the parts a photo cannot see: humour, cooking, education, fitness, tidiness, musical talent and even snoring. The photo and the questionnaire combine into one number, shown as an itemised, animated breakdown so you can see where every camel came from.
What actually moves your camel count
Age and height are scored on gender-aware curves drawn from real mate-preference research. Women tend to peak in the early twenties and men later, in the mid-thirties to around fifty. Height helps tall men up to a plateau (being very tall adds little extra), while for women it matters much less.
On top of that, the photo decides your looks, style and clothing points, and the questionnaire tops up personality. Most people land somewhere in the middle of the scale, and only a very specific combination of traits gets near the maximum.
Where "how many camels" comes from
For centuries camels were among the most valuable things a person could own, so counting worth "in camels" meant counting in the era’s hard currency. The phrase also nods to livestock bride-price customs and to the Islamic diya, the compensation for a life, traditionally set at 100 camels.
The modern quiz began as the German "Kamelrechner" and went viral on TikTok around 2020. It is purely for laughs: humans are, of course, priceless.

How many camels is the average person worth?
Most people land in the middle of the scale. The exact number blends your photo with your questionnaire answers, and only a rare mix of high-scoring traits gets close to the maximum.
Is the camel calculator accurate or scientific?
No. It is entertainment. The age and height curves are loosely inspired by real attractiveness research, but the result is a joke and should never be taken seriously.
Does it store my photo?
No. The photo is analysed only to produce your result and is not saved. Everything else runs in your browser.
What affects the camel score the most?
Your photo (looks, style and clothing) plus age and height on gender-aware curves, with the questionnaire adding personality points like humour and fitness.
